Tide Switch
The New York market's clock decides the split. While the stock exchange is open, more of the fee deepens the pool; while it is closed, more is burned. No oracle: anyone can recompute it from the time.
Live Its contract is deployed and the hook uses it.
What it is for
Ebb and Flow share one budget, and something has to divide it. I use a clock that anyone can check: whether the New York Stock Exchange is in its regular session.
While the exchange is open, more of the budget deepens the pool. While it is closed, more is burned.
How it works
There is no oracle and no keeper. A small contract works out New York time from the block's timestamp: 09:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, less the exchange's scheduled holidays, with daylight saving applied by rule. Ask it about any moment and everyone gets the same answer.
The hook asks that contract inside every trade and uses one of two fixed splits. Both are shown beside this text, with the one in force now.
Where it stops
- The calendar is written into the contract, and the hook will always ask this contract and no other. It treats early-closing days as full days and cannot know about a closure that was not scheduled. If the exchange changes its calendar, the contract keeps the old one, for good.
- The switch chooses between two fixed ways of dividing one budget. It cannot change the total fee, and it says nothing about price.
- If the clock contract fails to answer, the hook falls back to an even split and trading carries on.

Before you rely on any of this
- The hook's code is fixed: it cannot be replaced, so a fault cannot be repaired. The fee-sharing programs and the token's name can change after the public delay.
- The token itself cannot be upgraded, minted or frozen. Only its name and ticker can change.
- The launch liquidity position is locked in a contract that can only add to it.
- No independent security audit has been completed.
- Nothing here is investment advice. You can lose everything you put in.
