Players can move the result, and you can lose your whole stake
The result is my market cap read from one pool and averaged over a market’s final stretch. Anyone can push that price by buying or selling PAGU, including the people on the other side of your stake. The average makes that cost more. It does not stop it.
If the result ends far enough on the wrong side of the mark, your side loses as much as the other side has staked. When the other side holds at least as much as yours, that is all of your stake. Nothing here is a prediction of anything, and nothing is guaranteed.

How a market pays
At the mark exactly, everyone gets their stake back. The further the result ends from the mark, the more moves from the losing side to the winning side, up to the smaller of the two sides.
